“Nowhere” and “From No One with Love” feature the stunning work of postmodern singer/songwriter Laure-Elaine; the former her ability to write pop tunes as catchy and poignant as Kate Nash and the latter her ability to redefine the word “bleak.” “City Lights” even features a monologue by Warhol Superstar Joe Dallesandro that is akin to Burroughs’ work with Sonic Youth.
